[Shotwell] Meta data and batch operations

Great to hear you're trying out Shotwell.  Regarding your questions, yes,
we've thought about exposing more metadata in Shotwell.  One ticket about
this is here: http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2400

About metadata editing, I've created a new ticket here:
