This is planned for the 0.9 release (see:
http://trac.yorba.org/wiki/Shotwell). The ticket is the
#1942<http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/1942>,
and the #2170 <http://trac.yorba.org/ticket/2170> for the already imported
files as well.
