I think this is exactly the problem. Please notice, that after
restarting shotwell the tags are shown as expected (only terminal
tags (btw: thanks for the terminology)).

The other problem however persists (multiple terminal tags with the
same name). Perhaps there should be a restriction in terms of every tag
(name) only be allowed once?
