Hi Christian,

The Faces feature is not in Shotwell 0.11.  It will be in a future version,
probably 0.12 though it has not been decided yet for certain.

If you run Shotwell out of Git master (recommended for testing purposes
only, not general use) you will likely see the Faces feature reappear soon.
