Adjust Date and Time is a little different than Shotwell's other metadata
feaures.  If "Write tags, titles, and other metadata" is enabled, then yes,
the date/time is saved to the backing photo.  Even if it's turned off, the
Adjust Date and Time dialog has a "Modify original file" option which will
do that as well (but it only saves the date, nothing else).  If both are
turned off, then the new date is only saved in Shotwell's database.
