Hi Benedict,

Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce your issue.  For me, the image took
less than a second to load after I double clicked it.

Couple of ideas --

* Maybe there's some process taking up CPU on your system.  Could you open
Gnome system monitor and look at what processes are using the most CPU power
while loading an image?
* Also in Gnome system monitor, it might be worth checking the memory usage
on your system, since if you're running low on RAM Shotwell will be
significantly slower.

Otherwise, see the section on our FAQ about filing a bug report. This
contains steps to enabling logging. If you were to reproduce the issue and
send us the logs, it might be helpful.
