[Shotwell] Compile errors and make install error (trunk)

another user reported a similar compilation error last month:

I'll give you the same advice I gave him, which seemed to solve his problem:

1. Please make sure that you're using Vala 0.10:

% valac --version
Vala 0.10.0

2. Ensure that Vala 0.11 is completely uninstalled. Assuming that you
installed it in /usr/local (the default installation prefix), if you now
look in /usr/local/bin and /usr/local/lib you should see no sign of anything
Vala-related.

3. Please remove your Shotwell source directory, pull Shotwell from trunk
again and rebuild.
