I apologize for asking again, but anyone have any idea what the problem is? Once again, i'm 99% sure it's my fault, not yours, but it would be nice to have this working.

Never seen this before. You'll have to do some tracing.

Try locally. Only thing I might suggest is if you've got something whacky with
you're /etc/passwd, i.e. a bad entry.
