My understanding is that in order to redirect gtkmm.org you needDen 2022-01-24 kl. 08:20, skrev Murray Cumming:
I've just updated gtkmm.org. Sorry for the delay.(I ran "make post-html" in docs/, but of course that needs my login.) gtkmm.org's domain is registered at dreamhost.com, and hosted by dreamhost.com. The domain has been owned by me, and hosted under my account, for years because I never found a more appropriate way to do it. I'm glad that you've got hosting at gitlab working. I tried that a couple of years ago, without success. Shall we redirect the gtkmm.org domain to it, following these instructions? https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/user/project/pages/custom_domains_ssl_tls_certification/index.html I'd also be happy to transfer domain ownership, but I don't know what would be appropriate. MurrayThe custom domain instructions for gitlab.gnome.org is here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/help/user/project/pages/custom_domains_ssl_tls_certification/index.mdI haven't yet studied it well enough to understand if it's something you (Murray) or I can do, or if it requires help from a Gnome GitLab administrator.
I'd prefer not to get any domain ownership. I've intended for a long time to reduce my involvement in Gnome programming (https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtkmm-list/2021-February/msg00003.html). Sadly, no one else has entered the scene and started maintaining gtkmm and friends regularly.
Today I've upgraded the XML files in gnomemm-website/docs/C from DocBook 4.5 to 5.0. It should not affect the look of the web pages. There's no need to update www.gtkmm.org.
