Separate gnomemm repositories

Some time ago Jonathon Jongsma written[1] that gnomemm repositories will
be split apart, when we move to git.
Nothing has changed since all repositories were directly exported from
one vcs to another. But now it's not so obvious how to checkout gnomemm
subrepository. Earlier a command like the one below worked.
svn co http://svn.gnome.org/svn/gnomemm/libgdamm/trunk libgdamm
And now command below doesn't work.
git clone git://git.gnome.org/gnomemm/libgdamm

Are there any plans to split them soon?
