Disabling the mouse cursor

Hi,

I have created screes for our application by using gtkmm. Actually our application is going to be deployed on a touch screen. There mouse pointer should not be visible. I have no clue on how I can make the mouse pointer disable.

I got an example on net suggests me to decrease the pixel size of the mouse pointer. I tried that, but the mouse pointer is displayed as a tiny dot which is not at all useful. Please give me some ideas on how that can be disabled. Please make sure you do not suggest me to decrease the pixel size of the mouse pointer.
