Hi,

I had some time to install WinDBG for my problem. Dorry but no experience with gdb
in Windows yet. Just to recover the current state:

- Virt Viewer 2.0 (32Bit) installation on Windows 7 64 Bit
- Replaced libgtk-vnc-2.0-0.dll with current version from Fedora koji
- Replaced libgvnc-1.0-0.dll with current version from Fedora koji
- libgdk-3-0.dll was not changed

Programm crashes directly after opening a VNC connection to a VM (from an OVirt
installation). Exception occurs at the attached location.

Anything else I can help with?

That looks like a incompatibility between the version fo the DLLS
you have installed, and what gtk-vnc was built against. I think it
is simpler if you just uninstalled everything you have already and
then test this new MSI installer I just built

  https://fedorapeople.org/~berrange/virt-viewer-x86-2.0-new-gtk-vnc.msi

I've not tested this myself - i just did a fresh windows build with new
gtk-vnc and latest virt-viewer release. So consider it a test build, not
an official build

Thanks for taking the time and providing that build. But I get the same error
picture. After message "connected to graphics server" the VNC display
crashes. The dump is the same.

What I did:
- deinstall old version
- remove left-over installation folder
- install new package (takes C:\Program Files (x86)\VirtViewer v2.0512)
- fix file associations (this never really works ... :( )

Markus

This patch solves the problem:
http://paste.stg.fedoraproject.org/4794/19665914/

I can confitm theat the newly avaialable mingw-gtk-vnc-0.5.4-2 Version
from Fedora Koji

1) fixes the crashes
2) Works nicely with AltGr on german keyboards.
