As I have already stated:
$ rpm -q pango 
pango-1.17.5-1mdv2008.0


Oh.  Ah, this happens because the relevant maps file (maps_pango-1.18)
isn't included in the tarball:

  # make distcheck
  /usr/bin/perl "-MExtUtils::Manifest=fullcheck" -e fullcheck
  Not in MANIFEST: maps_pango-1.18

Damn.  Sorry for that.  I will roll a new tarball.
