Hi Nicole,
2013/3/28 Nicole Francisco <nicole francisco gmail com>:
So far, I have mainly coded in Java and have done a summer of coding in C#,
but doing a quick scan through the projects, it seems that C is the more
preferable language to use.
I'm willing to learn a new language, but will I be able to find a GSoC
project given my current skill set?
It's true that many GNOME applications are written in C, however there
are also applications in javascript, python, ... There are also some
applications written in vala that you should feel more comfortable
with given your background. Last but not least, Banshee, Tomboy and
fspot are GNOME applications written in c# (using Mono), so you this
can also be an interesting option for you.
Christophe
