Hi all,
I'm interested in participating in gsoc, and my eye has fallen on Gnome
as preferred mentoring organization. I am curious if any ideas are
already known. I've also got an idea of myself, but I doubt if I have

mouseover events for menubar buttons, tabs etc...
You mean tooltips?

No I mean prelight effects. I believe someone has already made a patch
for this, but it is already quite old and was originally meant to make
gtk apps look more consistent on Windows machines. However I think it
would make the overall look and feel of the Gnome desktop more elegant
too. It can be found at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340203.
