Hi Mayukh,
Its nice to hear about you. I was also planning to contrbute to the GNOME project, but am still unsure as to how to start off. I am currently working on GNU Songanizer, and lets see if I can get it approved as a GNOME package.
Keep posting, and I will share any idea that might pop up in my head.
