things that might cover:

make
autoconf
automake
libtool

I have various comments about each (some of which are already in the
tutorial in another location), but I'll wait until I understand more
clearly what your request is.
I just believe those tools are vital in the development process of a
gnome application, knowing them has many big advantages.

Yes, that is probably true. To follow up to my previous question, let
me also ask which gnu building tools do you believe are necessary for a
beginner to learn?
a section covering these tools would be a nice addition. Such a
section would be perfect to come before '3. Debugging'.
