Re: Enlightenment appearance on FreeBSD vs. RedHat



Enlightenment is a very configurable window manager, as you have just
found.  A lot of what you see on the RH6 desktop is actually GNOME, so if
you don't have gnome on the freebsd box, you won't have access to those
features.

As for the look of enlightenment, middle click on the desktop and select
the desired theme from the themes menu (what you see on the RH6 desktop is
probably the clean theme).  Try out the other themes, and see what you
like (remember that the more flashy themes also use more memory).

To get the extra functionality, you may have to start a few extra GNOME
programs.  As a start, try putting the following in your X startup file:
  exec gnome-session

With this single line, it will give you session management, start the
window manager, panel and GMC.  (of course you need gnome-core, gmc, etc
installed for this to work correctly).
