Hi,

I managed to test GCM before on a netbook with Ubuntu Karmic Netbook
edition installed. I noticed somehow the GCM icon was very small in
comparison to all the other application icons...

While I'm not entirely sure about this, I think the Ubuntu Netbook
edition uses the 64x64 icons (and does not fall back to scalable to
save CPU cycles on low end CPUs), since GCM does not supply a 64x64
icon, it falls back to a smaller one.

Maybe it's possible to include a 64x64 rendered PNG of the GCM icon?
