[gmime-devel] "." as tspecials character

Dear list,

I stumbled upon a possible issue with g_mime_utils_quote_string ().
In the developer documentation [1] is references rfc2045. rfc2045 says 
on page 13 [2], that "." is not considered as a character that leads to 
quoting the string.

When I pass 'ralph.plawetzki' to g_mime_utils_quote_string () it returns 
'"ralph.plawetzki"' and I wonder if this is intentional.
