Re: Outreachy sponsorship

Hi Marina,

The Board had a short meeting today, and we approved the sponsorship amount of $6,500 for one intern for the May 2018 round of Outreachy.

Regarding potential sponsors, would you contact Canonical and see if they are interested?

Thanks,
Meg

Hi Marina,

We did not have a meeting today because we didn't have quorum. We are trying to arrange a short meeting on Friday; otherwise we will vote at our meeting next Tuesday. Either way, we'll be able to respond before the March 2nd deadline.

Hi Carlos and the Board,

Thank you for sending an update and apologies I didn't respond sooner.
Did you have a chance to decide on this in this week's meeting?
Outreachy's application period is already open, and the sooner we get
GNOME listed the better. The absolute deadline to add a new community
is March 2.

I also wanted to note to you that Karen Sandler is a finalist for the
Women in Open Source Award and the voting ends tomorrow at 5pm ET.
Please consider voting for her and promoting the vote on social media.
