Hi all,

Maybe someone can help...
I'm trying to get my ekiga setup, and nothing seems to work so far.

All this is a little weird for me,
I registered on both @ekiga.net for sip comunications and @eugw.ast.diamondcard.us for pc to phone.

I first haven't been able to do the 500@ekiga.net as my subscribing stayed failling for some reason. This even having an active account and checking the account properties (name, pass...). The same day, I had however been able to use the diamondcard account and make a first phone phone call that revealed to be pretty bad (very difficult connection, often incomprehensible).

Then, a day or so later, my ekiga.net account started to work for some reasons (registration accepted, meanwhile I did nothingelse more than before) but the diamondcard not any more ... :(
If I check and uncheck the box in the account window, I sometime get it seem to work (written "subcribed" and 2 account
regitered in the main window), but it is impossible to make a call (says something like the "security check have failed")...
In the other hand, I can make the 500@ekiga.net now, but the connection is again there pretty bad, I barelly can here the, otherwise charming I guest, female english voice, aand I my echo is a very weird sound that sounds more like from a processor mind than a human being...

I'm behind a router, with a wireless laptop, WEP encription;
I'm running Ubuntu Edgy, Linux Kernel 2.6.17-11-generic #2,
my Ekiga configuration is like this:
listen: my wireless card
NAT: STUN (I tried "IP translation" and "None", but none of them worked any better)
Serveur STUN: stun.ekiga.net
SIP parameters: by default (no proxy, no Url and DTMF RFC2833
Parameter H.323: by default (no gateway, no url, everything checked in: tunneling h.245, quick start...) and DTMF: ascii ("chaine de charactère" in french.

I've got a validated Ekiga
account "spokieszut@ekiga.net" and setup the account in Ekiga as (lines in order):
Ekiga
ekiga.net
spokieszut
mypassword
spokieszut
ekiga.net
3600

I also have a validated diamound account that is configured like this:
Ekiga PC-To-Phone
eugw.ast.diamondcard.us
mynumber
mypassword
mynumber
eugw.ast.diamondcard.us
3600

and here are the output after a ekiga -d 4 and a phone call try:

seb@spokieszutpc:~$ ekiga -d 4
2007/03/07 23:03:11.946 0:00.446 ekiga Detected audio plugins: ALSA
2007/03/07 23:03:11.947 0:00.446 ekiga Detected video plugins: Picture,V4L2,V4L
2007/03/07 23:03:11.947
