An update before you respond.

Last night I got the video to work but not incoming sound. Today I got the video to work from the remote station with sound but no video image from me locally.

Also, when I ring out, the respondent answered, I could see the SPEEX codec come up but then the phone kept ringing at my end! We were connected as we could use the chat interface.

So..

I looked at the ekiga site and decided to try to update to 2.0.2 ekiga.dapper. I have downloaded all the files. Removed the ubuntu installation. Installed the new installation and ekiga opens.

Again I cannot see the local video but it looks like the rest is working.

dmesg gives me this continuous output

[17197479.928000] pwc Frame buffer underflow (311 bytes); discarded.
[17197479.996000] pwc Frame buffer underflow (544 bytes); discarded.

Yet pwc was fine last night! Can you advise what is going on here?

I ran;

ekiga -d 4 > output.txt 2>&1

and it gave me confidence except that it said;

and

2006/10/09 17:38:56.786 0:07.302 ekiga DBUS support disabled

I looked for the libavahi file but it no longer exists for the ubuntu distro.

It would be really nice to have this working again. Could someone guide me please?
