So, to test this out:

svn co dogtail/trunk, apply patch

create a dogtail.mo from slovak.po (or any .po):
# msgfmt -o dogtail.mo slovak.po

then, move it into the right locale dir, e.g.
"/usr/share/locale/sk/LC_MESSAGES/"

then run export 'PYTHONPATH=/my/localized/dogtail', run "LANG=sk_SK.UTF-8
python", and do "from dogtail import tree", you should see localized messages
for "creating log file...".

to try out sniff:
"LANGUAGE=sk_SK.UTF-8 sniff"
