I am new to using Dia but find that
it is nearly perfect for my application. I do want to create some shapes to use
in my diagrams. I have created one and have submitted a question related to it
already, but I was wondering if someone has some points, hints, ideas,
suggestions etc. about the best way to create a shape and get the most
"flexibility" out of it. Referencing my previously posted question, the shape I
created snaps to the grid with it's upper left hand corner and just like the
'relay (horizontal)' in the Electric shape sheet, as I change the size of the
object the center of it doesn't line up with the selected grid. I would like to
be able to change that so that if I change the size of the object it snaps to
the grid by the center or the middle of a side in one axis and to something
different in the other axis, OR both axis on the center OR on the side etc. I
didn't see any way of changing that when I created the object using the
"save as .shape" method. Is this something that would have to be done
via the code? If so where can I read up how to do that? Kind Regards, Jon Oesterheld Automation Project Engineer EROWA Technology, Inc. E-Mail: jon oesterheld erowatech com "Ask
