i started again, creating just a Patients table and then using the gui to create the related table & relationship.  i then created a few fields for the newly created, dependent table, Visits.  i then went in and using Patients, created a layout which contained fields from both tables.

This time i was able to input data into both tables, but upon examining each table, the only fields available were the original ones that Glom creates when it creates a table, i.e. the Comments, ID and Description fields.

In layout view, i could go back to the new records of the Patients table, but nothing that i had typed appeared in the Visits sub-table.

Upon examining the Relationships i saw that Glom had not created anything in the From Field.  i don't know if this is correct or not but...

When i examine the Visits table, i see that it now has some 9 records while the Patients has three, which is as it "should" be since there are normally more visits than patients :D

So, i'm still experimenting...

Have a great evening!  :)
