Hi:

Magnification is currently broken with Orca and GNOME 2.17.  :-(  The 
root cause of the problem was caused by the following patch to gnome-mag:

The gnome-mag maintainer and I have an IRC date this weekend to resolve 
the problem, and I hope to see it fixed for GNOME 2.18.
