I made a small test program where it does something similar to the code in 
the
file sharing patch. It tries to popen and fgets from the filesharelist 
program
similar to the file sharing code. My test program didn't freeze at all, 
which is
very odd. I'm using Mandrake 8.0 with a mix of Cooker RPMs.
