Well, as far as I know he is the president (or something like that) of
GNOME Germany, only this should be enough (in fact only being member
of a legal GNOME group should be enough).
Apart from that he is one of the most visible GNOME advocates in
Germany, he works on published stuff that has to do with GNOME, he did
the closure session at GUADEC 2006 on behalf of
Murray..................
