Murray:
This sounds odd to me. The GNOME release notes are generally rather big, focusing on new applications, new features, and major bugfixes, usually after repeatedly hounding the developers for the information, via multiple channels. Can give an example of something significant that we've missed so we can do better next time?
I didn't mean to imply that there was anything wrong with the Release Notes. I think they are very complete and cover a reasonable amount of detail. However, the way you would discuss new features in a Weekly (or whenver) News article would probably have a different focus and audience than the Release Notes. For example, the Release Notes may focus more on what changed from release-to-release, while a News article would perhaps discuss how the latest version compares with similar features in Windows, MacOS, etc. Brian
