There's libgdl too, IIRC it's used by Anjuta and comes from there, unfortunately i couldn't find a homepage for it but it should be included with your distro (also unfortunately there seems to be no documentation available on it, but i've successfully used it in our app).

Also, that sounds like an MDI and Gnome doesn't do that.  Not sure
what part of GIMP you refer to, unless you mean GIMPShop.

I'd say check out Paul's stuff.

no, I mean a real windows or dialogs that you can put into another
"main" window and this will be attached to the main window. Like by
GIMP !
