Open a url in webbrowser ?

Is there a simple way to make the system start the default browser(open a new tab if browser running) ?

I'm curious about how you do with gtk_about_dialog_set_url_hook , in the GtkAboutDialogActivateLinkFunc, to call the browser in a proper way .
