compiling GTK+ for MIPS

hi,
 
 i had ported linux onto MIPS processor(DBAU1200). now i need a graphics environment. has anyone ported GTK+ on MIPS ? if so can you send me the documents as to how compile and what are the packages i need to cross compile inorder to get a gtk+ based applications to run on the board ?
