GDK general questions...

Hi there,

just some short questions about GDK:
- Is it still worth to target drawing code on GDK or will it be
replaced in the long term completly by Cairo?
- Is GDK able to handle 1-bit transparent images hw-accerlated or are
some hacks needed to make this work properly?
