Re: gtk 1.2 to 2.0 upgrade woes

Thank you for this!  The *DISABLE_DEPRECATED flags look really useful 
and I'll definitely be using them, but the piece of your email that 
really helped me solve my problem was this -

 >     $(CC) vboxexample.c -o vboxexample $(CFLAGS) `pkg-config gtk+-2.0
 > --cflags --libs`

I hadn't been using pkg-config to set up the compile and link options 
and this worked first time.
