GTK+-2.0 double-clicking

I've tried doing this (on a GtkTreeView) but event->type never equals
GDK_2BUTTON_PRESS or GDK_3BUTTON_PRESS.

Is there something obviously wrong with that FAQ answer or has it just
changed.
