Rotation and transparency

I want to load and rotate an image. I proceed as follow:
	1. loading the picture into a GdkPixbuf
	2. setting affine transforme (with libart)
	3. performing transform an putting it in a rgb buffer
(with libart too)
	4. rendering the rgb buffer onto the screen

But I lost transparency!

Does anybody knows how to keep it?
