Here I have some difficulties in understanding, too. An
acceleration refers to a value, to which in this case. Is it
like: If the arrow is pressed, increment with climb_value x
actual_value ?

yes, indeed. 

I did still not find a swith to enable direct input into
the entrie. Any idea?
