I've been using GTK+ for a while now and have tried it on Windows 98 and
Windows NT4, programming OpenGL applications and everything seems stable on
the 3 systems I have tested it on. I'm currently developing a commercial
application that is going to use it (although my company is still looking for
investors for it) I trust it since if there is a bug or something unstable I
have the source code and have been studying the source code and could
probably fix it, but so far nothing bad. As for Visual C++, I use command
line make files to do most of the work, I'm not a make file kind of
programmer but after using it I was able to figure it out quite easily. You
can get an example make file from the win32 port of GIMP, or my port of
GLADE...

I can't disclose the commercial product I am working on, but I can show you
some thing I did a while back when I was experimenting with GTK+ styles and
gtkglarea, it only looks like Newtek's Lightwave, but it does not function
like it, in fact it roughly only loads an object and lets you view it and
nothing else (yet or ever). In reality I was just having fun with GTK+ :)...
