In /usr/doc/gdb I found this in the changelog:
gdb (4.17-2.m68k.objc.threads.hwwp.fpu) unstable; urgency=low
* Include patch to support debugging of multithreaded programs
(Bug #23823)
And in /usr/doc/gdb/applied-patches/ I found the patch against
gdb-4.17. One point in favor of Debian! :-)
