Does GTK provide functions to write to the parallel port?

I'm writing a program that needs parallel port acces... up until now, i
am using the ioperm() and outb() functions.  I was just wondering if
GTK+ also provided in functions that allow me to set bits from the
parallel port (maybe even without the need of asking permission to write
to it...?).
