clearing a Tree and multi selections in a CList

Hi

Am I right in using gtk_tree_remove( GTK_CLIST( foo ), GTK_CLIST( foo
)->children ); as the best way of clearing a GtkTree widget? If so,
this would be quite useful to have as a macro in gtktree.h

Also, I want to have multi-select ability in a CList widget, but I
want it to behave such that it is normally single selection, but when
Ctrl is held it goes into individual multi select and when Shift is
held it will select groups of entries (ie how Windows' list widgets
tend to behave). Is this possible?
