GtkCombo and GtkWidget

Hi,

I have two little questions:

1. Does anyone know if there is a signal, which tells me that the value
   of a GtkCombo has changed??

2. I started writing a gnome_applet. As a feature I need to popup a little
   window above my applet. Does anyone know how I can get information
   about the position of a widget (screen-coordinates)???
