Yes, I know I work in Germany for 4 years and also Holland, Norway, Kuwait,
Egypt, Cabinda (W. Africa), UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and
Singapore. But still I do not like fancy titles since I do not like to
appear to set myself up above others

A Dipl.-Ing. is the same as a MSc. It is possible that in your country one
doesn't advertise his titles, but the world is bigger than just your
country. In Germany it is quite common to use all your titles (Germany is
quite formal). Please respect those cultural differences.
