Do you remember???
The solution has nothing to do with wrong usage of gtk+ or something else that
came as an answer from this list. It's just that I don't used to use
threadsafe X11-libraries ...
Today I have downloaded a package with threadsafe Xlibs and installed it in a
separate directory. Then I make a smal script that exports a new
LD_LIBRARY_PATH with this directory and then exec's the requested binary.
Is it really necessary to use two versions of X11-libs? Or can I safely
replace my (non-threaded) X11 libs with the threadsafe ones?
And just to speed up my upgrade path to glibc2: Are there any (important)
programms out there that will not compile with glibc2? For now I shrink back
from upgrading because it is not easy to make a system ready for compiling both
libc5 and glibc2.
