Imlib and loading images

Hi,
Does anyone know if imlib can load images that are not files on
disk but just arrays in memory? If, say, one downloaded an image from a
socket connection and still has it in memory and doesn't want to have to
write it out to disk in order to read it again, can imlib do this?
