This means it's somehow trying to compile against a 1.0.x version of
gtk+. Check what ./configure says, and that you're not having
leftovers from your previous gtk+ and Gtk-- setup lying around.

Gtk-- 0.10.1 should work with gtk+ 1.1.5, really :-).
