GTK Curves ?

Hello, first sorry for my poor english, I have a little question about the
widget gtk-curve...

 I am doing a program that need show a curve ( is a procesing signal
program ). I have read the Widget definition that is in GTK web page... I
understood that you can pass a vector of floats and this widget can show a
curve composed with this values ....

 Well, am I in a mistake ?, Isn't the right philosophy about this widget ?

 My problem, I do this and the widget show a image with straight lines
wiht a fixed large and on the height of each value of the vector  ..????

 If I am in a mistake... How can I do this showing in GTK ?
