I can not replicate this with the current CVS version.
- Start with an empty book
- enter 'bob' in cell A1
- select cell A1
- Ctrl-C
- enter a different value in A1.
no crash.
Can you give us a detailed recipe to replicate the problem.

May I assume you mean 1. 2 .5
There are newer versions of gtk and glib (1.2.6) although I have no idea (and
would doubt) if that is the issue here.
