Editing array formulae

I cannot figure out how to edit array formulae.

* If I select the full range and try to delete it, I get X*Y error
  dialogs.  Not good.

* Selecting the range and hitting F2 for edit does not allow me to
  actually do the edit.

* Moving cell [0][0] elsewhere succeeded, :-)  This causes a leak in
  cell_register_span [cellspan.c:103], but probably should not be
  possible at all.
